This is the cover proof of my first book. The key word there is the "first" aspect. Though it is a small 120 page work and is not much more that an outline of my teaching notes for Western Civilization I; I have been teaching this course for 20 years. This book was prepared to help my student have a framework for their studies and to guide others through the growth of Western Civ.

But since this is the first: I have others in the pipeline.
The projects that are lined up:

A Bible study on Hebrews.

A Devotion geared toward missions.

A Biblical theology of missions.

and finishing my disseration on Third Culture Kids and Evangelism.

I am now writing, which is something that I have always wanted to do; just never put the time in before. When published I will let everyone know.... so that you can buy it!!

  1. Well,
My first book was about a little girl with head lice. It is IMPORTANT WORK TOO!!! Those little buggers can reck a child's nerves!

The book that I am working on now is about a Turtle that is afraid to go outside of his shell. (Pre-K)

Little people are a rough group to write for. They call it as they see it, no middle ground with a group of two to five year olds! It's HARD CORE out there, reading to the little people of today...

My book covers are in color, not grayscale!

    :0)

Just picking on you Pastor...(they really are in color) and I really do write Pre-K books.

Coy and I are looking forward to the Bible Study on Hewbrews.

Third Culture Kids and Evangelism; To me, it is growing harder with the Global World that we live in today to define, Third Culture Kids.

We have to look deep to find a True Third Culture Group of Kids. Almost around the globe, people are living with a mixture of cultures from around the world.

Coy and I found a large group of people in a remote area in the middle of China that has remained, for the most part, untouched by the Global Movement. They were the kindest people that we have ever known. Makes me wonder why?

Things have changed so fast in my forty-some years. We can travel around the Earth now. China was a "NO CAN GO" area for so long. Now we book tours of the places that not long ago were off limits to China's own people.

I have worked with, here in the states, children that had never heard of Jesus! Yes, here in the USA, below the Bible Belt! How can this be?

I grew up listening to Pastors in New York City telling their stories of the children there, Inner City Kids, that had never known Jesus.

I was shocked at the group of forgotten kids that Coy and I worked with in Baldwin County, Alabama! Yes, Alabama has children that do not know about Jesus and that He loves them too.

We can't wait to buy your book and read all about Third Culture Kids and Evangelism. This is a subject that is near to our hearts.

Congradulations on your writing again. All great writers take long breaks before they are inspired to write again.

Coy and I enjoyed talking with you and Mrs.Mariott Sunday. Wow, she is such a great person to talk with and smart one too.

PS We will bring our Bible and two pens next Sunday.

    Blessings-Joy
